O.T.K Discipline delivered exactly on its promise. There was art all over everything, and I mean everything. From the paddles and tee shirts, to the large scale drawings, sculptures, video, and even a fort…yes a fort. It was killer!
Check the pics, lots of fun, and great performances. As always Gio Black Peter tore it up, and this time with local NYC artist Brian Kenny on the mic. Their collaborative paddles were amazing, total collectors item with a purpose.
On July 4th all the inhabitants of Fire Island and their many guests crowd the Ferry port. They come not just to celebrate the 4th, but the Invasion of hundreds of Drag performers to the island. The ferry boat (no pun intended) that we all take to get to our getaway is jam packed with drag queens and kings, performers and celebutants all dolled up for the occasion. they descend on a red carpet to the crowd of hundreds. The Golden Girls, Will and Grace characters, ninja fan maidens, beautiful ladies (Justin), pearl dripping penis heads (Machine!) and everything in between.
It wasn’t really any one thing that grabbed me as much as the overall creativity involved and the reception of the crowd. It was surging, people we cheering, everyone was excited. It was one of the best times I’ve ever had, and will surely be back next year.

Wow, we are still recovering from the sweat lodge that was the Spank Loft party, thanks for all who came out! Gio Black Peter KILLED with with an amazing performance and people we only have love for the Plushie and Furry, they braved the heatwave in those huge suits! Plus House of Stank got Stank-y with some deep disco rare early electro and delicious early chichago house we, we were sweating them!

It’s become clear to us now that Gio Black Peter is taking over, with covers of a few other zines and his second feature in Spank he’s sorta the poster boy for this new printed homo movement. Plus he’s been all over Europe killing the clubs with his new track ‘It’s All Fucked Up,’ but we’re damn happy to have him back in town just in time for our spring (damn hot enough that it feels like summer already) loft blowout. We had the opportunity to do and in store event at A Different Light SF and Life Drawing seemed the only way to go! Thanks to Juanita for finding our two super models Justin and Joey… and thanks to Jutin and Joey for getting in their skivies mid-afternoon to help us debut Spank in SF. Also a shout to the Stephens from A Different Light for making this happen.
