Wow! Amazing moment after amazing moment at the last Spank Loft party (we had almost forgotten till this trove of pics appeared), Derrick Xtravaganza, The Swimming Pools with Sylvia London, The Stanley Love Dancers, the mural, the LIGHTS, the GLOW, and the magical light-rope jump-rope that appeared at 4am -all too much! Another fun night NYC, we are looking forward to the next one!
Stanley Love has been bringing his unique choreography to the New York underground in non-traditional performance spaces as well as highly regarded venues such as The Kitchen, Vineyard Theatre, PS 122 and Dixon Place, for many years. Stanley, a graduate of the Julliard school, has a style that balances timelessness and forward thinking. He always assembles the perfect crew to bring his dance magic to life; The Stanley Love Performance Group. We are so happy to have their special presence at SPANK for the first time.
Over the years, one of the favorite things about Stanley and crew is knowing that if one of their performances is going to happen anywhere soon, you can likely catch them doing their rehearsals in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village for thrilled and sometimes baffled crowds. They will BLACKLIGHT it for us on Saturday, get ready!!
