SPANK teamed with Mr. Saturday Night again last weekend for the 2nd edition of our collaboration “NEW YORK! JUST LIKE I PICTURED IT…” It was a blast!!!
Marshall McDonald was taking polaroids all night and handing many of them out to people as a memory of their night. Here are the ones we kept for our memory books!!
Scooter LaForge (frequent collaborator and brother of SPANK) created a number unique posters for our last gallery show, many of which sold. The gallery even sold one well after the show ended to someone who just couldn’t get it out of their mind.
Luckily, some still exist and now we can offer them out for sale! Each of the posters below is unique and can be acquired unframed or framed at request. They are multi-media on paper.
The dimensions are 16.5″ x 20″ and each poster is $80 (or $120 with simple black 1/2″ framing).

We started the night at our party on Scholes St. in Wburg/Bushwick on March 12th with life drawing and we loved how many people showed up to do it and how great the drawings looked. Thanks to our models Andre Landeros Michel, The Gayletter Guys, and Alberto Cortes and thanks to SPANK friend Taylor Derwin who offered to jump in and model before the other models arrived!!

Stanley Love has been bringing his unique choreography to the New York underground in non-traditional performance spaces as well as highly regarded venues such as The Kitchen, Vineyard Theatre, PS 122 and Dixon Place, for many years. Stanley, a graduate of the Julliard school, has a style that balances timelessness and forward thinking. He always assembles the perfect crew to bring his dance magic to life; The Stanley Love Performance Group. We are so happy to have their special presence at SPANK for the first time.
Over the years, one of the favorite things about Stanley and crew is knowing that if one of their performances is going to happen anywhere soon, you can likely catch them doing their rehearsals in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village for thrilled and sometimes baffled crowds. They will BLACKLIGHT it for us on Saturday, get ready!!

Man of a thousand looks XANDER was the essential choice to host this blacklight immersion event. He typically has at least one element of his outfit that requires a battery —but more often most of his look is somehow electric. Two weeks ago DJing at Clubber Down Disco when the lighting system crashed midway through the night XANDER saved the day with several strobing (and surprisingly powerful) bracelets. Expect multiple looks and major floor moves from one of Spank’s favorite luminescent nightclub superhero’s. More than enough of a reason to go get your advance ticket now! sb
